Can I share a secret? I was fortunate enough to see a few public figures that I respected in the homesteading world recently. 

Did you notice the past tense on respected?

When I saw them speak live, I was blown away by how good their pitch was, but how little actual information they shared. One speaker never really addressed the topic of their session, but pitched their YouTube channel no less than 17 times in just an hour (yes, I counted). 

Worse yet? I heard one incredibly engaging social influencer share their "experience" with a particular type of livestock. I was surprised to hear what they shared because it was pretty different from the experience I've had over the last 10 years keeping that particular type of livestock using four different methods on two different properties.... 

It all made sense when I saw them post a month later about how they were getting that livestock for the first time and were excited to document and share their journey! 

Anyone else notice anything wrong here?
